What is the lightest object you know?

Surely the wind floating around you? According to the laws of physics, the lightest thing is supposed to be any gaseous substance, then any liquid and finally solid object. But what if a lighter substance than air is a solid?

Such an object is called a carbon aerosol.

Aerosol is a synthetic material which is 99% air. It is the lightest solid in the world. Its density is only 0.17 mg / cubic centimeter. Incredibly, it is true that this density is lower than that of air. Its special feature is that it can carry 900 times its own weight. The method of making it is quite fun. It has a lot in common with jelly making. Jelly is made by making a nice structure of liquid with solid substance powder. In this method, aerosols are formed by replacing liquids with solids and gases.

Touching a piece of aerosol will make it look like shola or styrofoam. Most of the aerosols produced so far look like a piece of cloud or smoke. This is why it is called solid smoke, solid smoke, solid air or blue smoke.

Aerosols are usually made with complex biological polymers. The first aerosol, however, is made with silica gel. But recently the lightest aerosol in black has been made with graphite. Its structure is much like a sponge. It is made of a thin carbon screen equal to an atom and a carbon fiber. Even before that, such a light substance was made like a thin metal lattice, but the carbon aerosol is lighter than that.It is capable of absorbing water contaminating oils and other contaminants. It was invented by Samuel Stephen Kistler.
